HAPPY NEW MONTH EVERYONE
Sorry we didn’t mean to startle you, we’re just excited to be in October because it means the year is ending and the Christmas bells are slowly ringing (you people will soon know all I want for Christmas)
While there’s a lot to happen this month (laughs in resumption) we’ll take a look at some of the best moments of September
Techwriteable: A writer’s opportunity
We love you all and care for you. Because we do, we formed a partnership with Techwriteable; a platform created to help writers improve their writing skills and develop the willingness to write, who offered a discount on four of their courses to all NESAites. We hope you were able to capitalize on this opportunity because as you know opportunities come but once. We would also like to share some gratitude to Techwriteabe for this opportunity.
Keep your eyes peeled as the session goes on, there’s more where this opportunity came from
Around the Globe: Internship opportunities
Again, we love you! And there are different ways to show love. We showed you with our global internship opportunities seminar that went on for three consecutive weeks. In it, we invited some exceptional students who have secured international internships to explain the tricks and skills needed to secure an international internship. We hope you also took advantage of this opportunity (hopefully it is you we’ll call next year)
Competing with the best: A win in FASU
September saw Lagos host the FASU games ‘24 in it, our star athletes, Dera and Jimoh represented the University of Lagos’ athletics team. Before the commencement of the competition, our sports secretary handed a gift bag courtesy of NESA sports hub (again we love you!). Both our athletes came out of the competition with medals to their names; Jimoh with silver in 4 x 100 mixed relay and Dera with a bronze in triple jump, silver in 4 x 100 mixed relay, and gold in 4x 100 women.
We are so proud of them
New year, New NED!
Last month also saw the unveiling of the NESA Economic Discourse team. The theme, Digitalization Paradox: the double-edged Sword of Economic Growth focuses on introducing a different perspective on the perception of economic growth. Be sure to join the NED planning and you can lend a hand to this glorious event by joining here
Before I love you, I’ll leave you with a beautiful book to read
Verity- Colleen Hoover. If you read it and don’t like it, come find me.
Like they end every Looney Tunes episode
That’s all folks.
